We are an exciting (and rapidly growing) new startup that caters to moms, dads and their little ones.
We are seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial and internet-savvy part-time marketing
intern who wants to stretch his or her skills and be challenged in a high-energy
environment. This person must have an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude and a love of parent- and kid-related products and services.
This is an ideal opportunity for a stay at home parent who wants to get more involved
with the parenting community in the Orange County area or for a college student
who wants to get some startup experience. We require that this person live in the OC;
however, we don’t mind if they work from home as long as they can be in the office
occasionally and can help out with some off-site events.
This is a part-time position and we are looking for someone who can commit to around
15 hours/week for about 3-months (although we can be flexible). Intern must have his or
her own laptop and access to a car.
• Assisting with strategic marketing, event coordination, social media marketing
• Opportunity to develop a detailed marketing plan for one of our target markets
• Help with occasional light office work (filing, data entry, etc)
Marketing, event coordination and office management experience preferred, but not
Comfortable with public speaking
Has basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
Familiar with various social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
High school diploma or equivalent at minimum
Working on a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field desired
This is an unpaid position; however, we can offer college credit
Chance to work with an exciting start-up and to really make an impact
Ability to take on a lot of responsibility and get some great hands-on, high-level
